FAQ's
Max 7/Harmony Skin Rejuvenation
How long does a treatment take?
The Harmony Rejuvination treatment requires no downtime and can
be done during a lunch hour.
How does the Max 7/Harmony rejuvenate my skin?
The Max 7/Harmony combination uses gentle light to restore skin
to a more youthful state. Brown spots (pigmented imperfections)
from sun damage and aging, red blotchiness from spider vessels
or Rosacea (vascular imperfections), and rough skin texture
will improve over the treatment series. It also will tighten
your skin and reduce wrinkle and fine lines.
Is treatment with the MAX 7/Harmony safe?
Treatment is very safe for the skin and is FDA approved. There
are many advances in the Max 7/Harmony technologies that make
them
unparalleled
for skin safety, without compromising effectiveness for treatment.
There are no long term health hazards from light used in the
Harmony. Both have been used for decades in medicine, surgery,
and aesthetics without adversity.
What kind of results can I expect from Max 7/Harmony treatment?
Each treatment will result in gradual lightening and improvement
of pigmented and vascular imperfections. Textural improvements
are appreciated towards the end of the treatment series.
How frequently do I need treatments?
The first treatment will be with both the Max 7 and the harmony
unit. You will be treated again in approximately one month
with the Harmony unit and reevaluated one month later as to
whether you need more Harmony treatments. If you are enrolled
in the Skin Rejuvenation Plan the entire process will be repeated
at 6 or 7 months.
Does the treatment hurt?
The Max 7 treatment is painless. The Harmony sensation is often
described as "hot pinch", or "snapping" feeling.
The sensation only lasts for fraction of a second, and you
may feel warmth a tingling sensation for a short time afterward.
The treatment may be accompanied by blowing very cold air at
the treatment site which usually eliminates or markedly reduces
any pain.
What happens after each treatment?
Temporary pinkness in the skin lasts a very short time, and almost
all people return to work or normal activities immediately
after treatment. The improvement in pigmented and vascular
irregularities can usually be appreciated as early as the next
day and certainly by the time you return for your next
Harmony treatment a month later. Brown spots and some small blood
vessels temporarily get darker before they lighten.
Who should get Harmony treatment for Skin Rejuvenation?
Anyone who wants to improve the signs of sun damage and aging in the skin,
such as pigmented and vascular irregularities, uneven or rough skin texture.

PATIENT FAQ's
Choices/Harmony Pigment Reduction
How does the Harmony get rid of my pigmented spots?
The Harmony uses gentle light to damage the pigment containing
cells. This heats the cell which means that gradually over several
treatments, there is a permanent reduction in the amount of pigment
in that area.
Is treatment with the Harmony safe?
Treatment is very safe for the skin. There are many advances in
the Harmony technology that make it one of the safest pigment
removal systems available. There are no long term health hazards
from light used in the Harmony. It has been used for decades
in medicine, surgery, and aesthetics without adversity.
What kind of results can I expect from Harmony treatment?
Each Harmony treatment will result in less pigment in each treatment.
It usually takes more than 1 treatment to affect all the pigmented
cells in an area. Most people achieve satisfactory clearance
after 1 or 2 treatments, but individual results vary depending
on medical and genetic factors.
How frequently do I need treatments?
The treatments are usually performed every 1-2 months, but this
depends on individual factors that your harmony clinician will
discuss with you during consultation.
Does the treatment hurt?
The sensation is often described as "hot pinch", or "snapping" feeling.
The sensation only lasts for fraction of a second, and you may
feel warmth or a tingling sensation for a short time afterward.
Most people tolerate treatment without any topical anesthetic
cream, which may be used to numb the skin from feeling sensation
for very sensitive individuals. A special unit that generates very
cold air can also be used for pain reduction if necessary.
What happens after each treatment?
The pigment spots will turn very dark and may look like coffee
grounds. This indicates you can expect a good result. The pigment
will diminish or disappear over a three week period as the skin
sheds the pigment cells and replaces them with normal ones.
Who should get Harmony treatment for pigment reduction?
Anyone who wants to reduce or eliminate unwanted pigment. This
includes freckles and aging spots. Isolated, raised or spots
rapidly changing size should not be treated and should be evaluated
by a dermatologist. There are a few medical conditions that contraindicate
people from treatment which will be discussed with your Choices
technician during consultation.
